TELESERV® is a cost-effective legal services billing plan especially designed for small and medium sized school districts. Under our TELESERV® plan, for an annual fee based upon a little more than a dollar per ADA, we offer unlimited telephone access to our attorneys on all non-mandated matters. (Mandated matters are those in which a district will receive reimbursement from the State, such as negotiations and contract administration, processing of grievances, unfair practice charges, advice on the Brown Act, etc.)


This plan is specifically designed to be used as a preventative tool to address most day-to-day issues that arise in the operation of the District. Because the cost of the phone call is included in the annual fee, we encourage our clients to use this service any time a question or concern regarding a legal matter arises, no matter how small. Our goal is to provide a low-cost method for clients to receive legal advice on issues early before simple problems become large, expensive problems.


Non-mandated cost matters that cannot be resolved by a telephone call are billed at our normal billing rate. However, these matters will be identified and explained to the client for approval before any additional work is performed.
